Osinachi Nwachukwu: I am beginning to wonder that with the various revelations or accusations made against the husband of the late gospel singer, especially the media bombardments and trials, is it not right to even hear from the husband?
Does it not take two to tango? With all the statements and allegations of wickedness made against the man, left, right and centre, is it not right to hear him, even for once? Where are his family? Won’t anybody speak?
I am so afraid of this nation and the kind of media we have. Woe betide you if anything negative is said about you when you are not available to respond. The press has nailed the man such that ninety per cent of Nigerians, including you, the reader, would say, even without hearing anything from the man, ‘go kill am’. Haba!
I insist that no matter what, the man deserves a fair hearing. Let us hear him. I know how painful it is when such news hits us but let us stop this naked sentiment, uninformed judgements and give the man a fair hearing.

* Osinachi

Two things have been said about the lady that I believe require our attention as impartial followers of the news. Someone called Olunloyo made a post that Osinachi was dating one gospel musician, which made the husband jealous. Is that allegation weighty or a mere blab? I read it online.

The new one is the statement by her pastor, Paul Enenche, that he is not aware of any domestic violence. He said the lady had symptoms of an ailment, and she never confided in him of any domestic violence. That is her Pastor!
Don’t also forget that when her death was announced, what we heard was she had cancer. How cancer (which I guess her pastor was referring to) morphed into beatings in marriage, is worth finding out.
Moreover, no medical report has been released to confirm the causes of her death, yet we are seeing the man as a murderer. Let us be careful here. Let us grieve from the position of truth!

Let us all be careful how we demonize men, husbands and indeed, Mr Nwachukwu. The husband would also have his side of the story. Let us walk this matter with utmost carefulness so that God will not be angry with you for hearing one side of the story, demonizing the other.
I caution newspapers like Punch, working up the emotions of careless Nigerians on this matter without care for the other side. No matter how bad, the husband has a story to tell. Who was it who said that if you call the devil to narrate what happened between him and God, he would have stories to tell, even though we know him as the father of lies.
I plead with all Nigerians grieving over this sad loss to be comforted. It’s painful. I also encourage them to heal and have an enormous heart to ask for the other side of the story before ‘putting rope for the neck of the husband and hangam.’
It’s only when we hear the other side that you and I can have a better perspective of the issue and draw inferences and lessons. Sadly, the woman is not available again to refute whatever (lies) the man would say. So sad! But still, let us hear him—enough of the media toying with our ignorant emotions.
