But I will because when America sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold.
Also, for the strategic position God has placed your country today, some of your policies would directly or indirectly reach me here in my library. It is within this construct that I want to drop these few lines of encouragement. At 74, let me call you Baba. Baba, you have done what God sent you to do in the White House. Please, go home with your head high. A lot happened during your tenure. Someone like me never loved your face the first time you came.
What we heard about you were so negative: you were a scammer, tax evader, racist, you would stop all black men from entering America, deal ruthlessly with my African American siblings over there, etc. We actually saw some evil here and there.
Your responses to George Floyd and your body language to human rights were so weak. You nearly denied the existence of Covid until you caught it yourself. You dealt ruthlessly with the press, giving them a bad name. I am tempted to say you created the word, Fake News in your battle with CNN and other media houses. You had issues with Facebook and Twitter. Na only you? You were very strong but invested it negatively.
However, we serve a mighty God who could use anybody for anything. That is where I am going. God used you to do something that gladdened my heart: leading the world to recognise Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. Moving American embassy from Tel Aviv to the capital David established over 4000 years ago was a trump card.
What you didn’t know is that God sent you to do that job. Ronald Reagan could not. Bush 1 couldn’t. Clinton, Bush 2, Obama, couldn’t. If that was the only thing you did as American president, kudos. A lot of people do not know the import of what you did as pivotal to the realities of the end time. Jerusalem must return to Israel. The temple must come up. Jesus would set foot on Mt Olive and sit in that temple in Jerusalem. Read your Bible fa! It is therefore with a great joy I tell you, Baba, to go home to your wife, Melania who did not show up as the first lady. She suddenly reduced that office from the intellectual height Mitchell raised it to. I remember Talo asked me, ‘Daddy, Trump no get wife?’
Baba, you also assisted the Church in America to wake up. I can imagine how sad my spiritual father, John Hagee and our Church, Cornerstone in San Antonio, would be today. I am so glad the American Church woke from their political slumber and did what Esther told all Christians to do for their brethren in Politics. In Nigeria, if the Church gave Osinbajo half the support you got, this Government would have gone farther. But our Facebook Christians would rather tell him to resign or expect him to be disobedient to his oga. But Osinbajo is wiser. Praise God.
