3,200 FRIEND REQUESTS IN THREE DAYS
MANY OF THEM, INTERNET CRIMINALS!
By Bola Adewara
In the last three days, I received over 3500 friend requests on this account alone. Know what? I accepted almost all, except those with obvious criminal identities: those using Custom uniforms, pictures of white people and women, public figures, etc.
Not that I don’t know that so many others are fake accounts put up by these Internet fraudsters, I know so well, but I accepted them all so as to reach them with the gospel of our Lord Jesus, if they will change.
Know what, I don’t give up on anybody because Jesus did not give up on us. He still went to the cross despite all that He saw of men. Moses did not give up on the children of Israel despite their recalcitrance in the wilderness. Don’t give up on anybody. That internet fraudster can become a true pastor tomorrow.
I have had an opportunity to discuss with two of these boys. One of them told me he dropped out of school and he needs to pay the school fees of his younger ones. Of course, I knew the son of viper was lying, but I tagged along.
I told him who I am: a journalist, author, teacher, publisher of Elife magazine, etc. I offered to pay, to even link him to some important men in his state who can assist him to return to school and finish his education.
I told him he has to give me the name of the school attended by his siblings, name of the principal and in two days, I will link him up with some pastors in his state who will take up the case. Immediately he saw that I was ready to help him but he won’t get any direct cash, he began to change the game, saying I should not bother to pay again.
Some of these boys are simply lazy. They went to university and cheated all through. Call them for job interviews, they know nothing! All they want is money! money! money! At 25, they want to ride Range Rover! Live in Banana Island! Who has destroyed this young generation? They claim there is no one to assist them. They have no money to do things. This country is fucked up. No job. No this. No that. Rubbish!
Who assisted me to get educated? Who gave me any opportunities? I am not alone. So many of us pulled ourselves up by the bootstraps. Life does not give anyone a chance. My friend, this life is hard! Create your chance fairly and use it. Search yourself for the talents God has given you and make use of it to His glory!
These boys, give them the opportunities they need, they will fuck up. They think people pick money on the floor in America. They think money grows on the tree in UK. Listen to me and listen good: a lizard in Nigeria cannot become a crocodile in London. Go to London and see how Nigerians slave there!
I ask you my fraudulent friend, go and think well and search for what God has blessed you with. Buhari did not spoil Nigeria o. Since 1960, musicians have been singing about hardship in the country.
“Ko sowo lode o. Ko sowo lode
Okunrin kigbe, obinrin kigbe
Kaluku lo kegbe owo.
That song of woes was released by Victor Olaiya in the 70s
Sunny Ade, Mandators, Majek, etc also came in the 198Os and sang about hardship in Nigeria. In the 1990s, Barrister, Kolington, etc sang about serious hardship in Nigeria. In the 2000s, same thing.
Listen to me, hardship has always been there. Nigeria has been fucked up since independence. No one gave anybody any chance. Stop complaining! Wake up! The life of scam will injure you at the end of your life.

That is the problems we are having in this nation. Most of these Youths refused to do legitimate work. Looking for easy cash and loosed money in churches and swindling innocent people.
Bola, we. Red prayers for our youths.
Thank you precious Man of God,may he(God) enlarge your territory in Jesus name.
True. In all of the hardship, you can strife to be somebody and have something you work for. Laziness and social media is destroying the youths life
Fantastic piece. I’ve always wondered who bewitched the youth of this country?. They don’t want to think or work but wants to have money. Money is made or earned not gotten. Again i put the blame at the doorstep of the adults. There is a dearth of good mentorship in our society, graduates now see Agberos as their mentors. As if that is not enough, our religious leaders are becoming more oppressive in their lifestyles. May God help us
