Gospel music lovers are in for a spectacular experience as some of Nigeria’s finest gospel legends prepare to deliver an electrifying celebration of praise and worship. Renowned artists, including Pa Karis of the Karis Band, Broda Martyns (National President of Kingdom Music Foundation – KMF), and Evangelist Chuks Chidube, popularly known for the hit song Dis Kind God, have announced plans for a nationwide Gospel Music Festival titled “Chagag Praise Festival.”

Organizers of the festival, Praise Channel Group, describe the event as a platform dedicated to offering God quality praise through spirit-filled music and dynamic dance performances, with the goal of ushering attendees into divine blessings and breakthroughs.

A Gathering of Gospel Music Icons
The festival promises an extraordinary lineup featuring Nigeria and Africa’s most celebrated gospel artists. Among those scheduled to perform are:

Melody Emmanson, Chairperson of the Lagos State Chapter of the Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON), Evangelist Uche Ndukwe, President of the International Gospel Music Ministers Association (IGMMA)
The Winners Voices Choir. The legendary Mama Karis, who, alongside Pa Karis, will serve as the event’s parental figures. Hosting this grand event is Rev. Innocent Alenkhe, with O-Chez as the Master of Ceremonies.

A National Debut in Lagos
The highly anticipated festival is set to debut in Lagos on Sunday, February 23rd, at the Christian Pentecostal Mission, 89 Olatunji Street, Ojota, Lagos.

Vision Behind Chagag Praise Festival
In an exclusive interview, Evangelist Chuks Chidube, the visionary behind Praise Channel Ministry, revealed the inspiration behind the festival. He explained that the event, tagged “Chagag Energy Praise,” is rooted in the Hebrew word Chagag, meaning energetic praise, celebration, and festival.

“This is a unique gathering focused on lifting the name of Jesus Christ through vibrant praise and dance,” Chidube said. “When we praise God wholeheartedly, He responds with blessings—starting with salvation, miracles, financial breakthroughs, open doors, and more.”

Legacy of Evangelist Chuks Chidube
Chidube, widely known for his globally acclaimed song, _Dis Kind God,_ has an illustrious career spanning over 40 years. A native of Anambra State, he is not only a gospel singer but also a dancer, songwriter, and author. He is an ordained cleric at House on the Rock, led by Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

His impact in gospel music extends far beyond Nigeria, as he has performed in 45 languages worldwide, released over 34 albums, and shared the stage with international gospel icons such as Don Moen, Kirk Franklin, Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Tye Tribbett, and many others. Dis Kind God has been recorded in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Swahili, Ghanaian, and Liberian dialects.

A New Era for Gospel Music
The Chagag Praise Festival aims to take gospel music to new heights, uniting worshippers in an atmosphere of joy, celebration, and divine encounters. As the festival prepares for its grand kickoff in Lagos, gospel music enthusiasts can expect an unforgettable experience filled with praise, power, and purpose.
