sopeSOPE OYENIYI ILORI joined the Revival Assembly Church as an undergraduate of Mechanical Engineering of the Lagos State University Ojo in April 1992. That same year he joined the church choir, The Higher Dimension Choir, where he rose to become the music director in September 1997.

He is first of all a worshiper who has written songs and directed choirs apart from his church choir. He is also a teacher of the Word with proven prophetic grace as alluded to by his mentor, Apostle Anselm Madubuko, and several people at home and abroad where he has ministered to God’s word.

He has ordained a pastor in Revival Assembly in 2001. He also qualified from the Leadership Academy of Daystar Church in 2006 in the advance certificate course. He has ministered the word in Revival Assembly, Ogba, Abuja, and Lekki branches. He has also been privileged to minister God’s word in the United Kingdom while on vacation.

Writing is another way of reaching out to people for God’s kingdom by making God’s word applicable, simple and understandable to everyone everywhere. He is married to Stella Oluwadamilola Ilori and they are blessed with two children, Toluleke and Modupefoluwa.

TRUST

In everyday life, there are some words that we tend to use frequently and that we take as important. Trust is one such word that people are very sensitive about. In our relationship with God and each other, it is very important to find out what exactly it means to trust. It is often said that; “trust has to be earned”, in that context we can say trust is wages or payment for a relationship.

You can only truly trust someone you know well, so for an individual to earn your trust you have to have known that person over a period and tested their abilities in such a way that you know what they are capable of.

A good description of trust is found in professional dancers who dance in pairs or as a couple. Most of the breadth taking flips and moves they excuse where one dancer jumps high and IS caught by the other is based on trust.
Put yourself in the position of one of these dancers, would you fall backwards with your eyes closed knowing you would hurt yourself on hitting the ground if you were not sure your partner would catch you?

Before they get to that level it takes a lot of rehearsal and maybe some painful falls as well. After patiently, developing confidence in each other’s ability they are able to deliver marvellous performances together, but developing this confident trust takes time and comes with hard work. I am certainly not a dancer and I would never fall backwards hoping someone would catch me for the simple fact that I probably weigh too much for the average person to catch, but this is the picture that comes to my mind that best describes what trust is. In our relationship with God, I think it is pretty safe to say no matter how much you weigh God can catch you without any problems because He is the almighty He will not let you fall.

The POWER of CHANGE

THE COCOON
When we think of a butterfly what comes to mind is beauty, brilliance and brightness. It is one creature that shows off in nature and is not limited by geographical boundaries for the simple reason that it can fly!
A caterpillar on the other hand is a creature that is very limited and in or most cases is not associated with beauty. It is an awkward creature in shape and small in size, an easy target for other creatures to feast on because it is slow and clumsy.
After this period of ugliness, comes one of the wonders of nature.
It is shut in a cocoon where it is left out of the world around it, left in a world of its own. In this place of separation, all the food it ate becomes material and energy for the process that I will call for the purpose of this story “the cocoon experience”.

In our lives, we need to understand the importance of change in order to take full advantage instead of fighting it. It is also important to understand the process according to the purposes of God. This book will help you gain an understanding of the process and purposes of each stage we may find ourselves in this journey called change.
