Come Friday, 7th October 2022, Nigeria in general and Lagos state, in particular, will witness another dimension in spiritual encouragement from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in what has been perfected as “The Greater Nigeria Project.”
Holding at Vineyard Christian Ministries, Ajao Estate, the Lagos Chapter, under the leadership of the Lagos State Chairman, Apostle Enyinnaya Okwuonu, the program’s theme is A New Dawn: Taking Responsibility for Societal Transformation.
Speaking to E-life recently, Okwuonu said the project, a part of the 10-point agenda initiated by the PFN National President, Bishop Wale Oke, took off in Akwa Ibom on August 10 and 11, 2021 and has gone around a few states.
“The focus of this event is in recognition of the peculiarity of Lagos and to achieve the vision of the National President at the various levels. The distinct engagements will see the body receive ministry from diverse anointed and accomplished leaders led by Wale Oke.
Okwuonu noted that The Greater Nigeria Project conference would have three sessions, namely: business-owners and professionals’ prayer and anointing; all ministers conference and solemn assembly, musical concert and mega rally.
And that the conference will create a fresh orientation among Christians in the state and will provide an opportunity for church leaders, business owners and professionals to access divine resources that will enable them to discover new opportunities and create sustainable Pan-Africa businesses and societies.
He further stated that “The Lagos State Chapter of PFN, in fulfilling the President’s vision, has chosen to take the lead to organise distinct engagements in one day.
The focus of this is on recognition of the peculiarity of Lagos and achieving the vision of the National President at various levels.
The distinct engagements will see us receive ministry from diverse anointed and accomplished leaders led by His Eminence, Bishop Francis Wale Oke.”
Lagos PFN expects over 20,000 participants for the evening rally, on-site and online. Orkwuonu noted that the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war seriously impacted the business environment and particularly the global supply chain.
While seeking divine intervention, partnership and innovation, he called for urgent and critical success factors.
Orkwuonu added that the Lagos PFN is mobilising Lagosians massively to be politically conscious. The recently created Directorate of Politics and Governance is engineering a new mindset for Christians. We are encouraging our people to participate in politics.
We are taking responsibility for societal change. We are interested in the nation’s politics, but we are apolitical. PFN is not supporting any political party. But any party that will do what will benefit the majority of the people, the PFN will go for it.”
