If the political and spiritual leaders can work together and initiate a process that can provide quality leadership in our country, then half of all our prayer points will be answered. This opinion was expressed by Hon Uzoka Chukwuemeka, the Executive Director, Political of Nigeria National Christian Coalition (NNCC), in his speech delivered at the Meet The Church Summit organised by Nigeria National Christian Coalition (NNCC) on 20th September 2022, at The International Conference Centre Abuja.
According to Chukwuemeka, the Church can no longer keep quiet but stand up and profer solutions to our màjor national challenges, which is a lack of good leadership. If we get our leadership challenges right, all other things will automatically follow.
‘The Church is our last hope. Her ability to realise her duties in reorientating our people, which will transform into providing sound leadership in our country, will be the greatest thing that can ever happen in our time.
‘Good leadership is what nations of the world are yawning for. If spiritual leaders can work together and initiate a process that can provide quality leadership in our country, then half of all our prayer points will be answered.
‘It is glaring to note that most of our prayer points are all due to poor leadership, and this could be solved if the Church would recognise her role in the building of our dear nation and take steps to provide solutions to these leadership challenges. And the best time to start is now.
Chukwuemeka expressed his gratitude to God for His grace towards the successful hosting of 2022 Meet the Church Summit with the theme: The Role of the Church in Nation Building. He noted that the giant in Nigeria has woken, and the difference will be seen as we march towards another election to choose credible leaders that will drive the affairs of our great nation to the wheel of peace and progress.
Quoting Genesis 1 v 3, Hon Uzoka Chukwuemeka noted that the Lord said,’ Let there be light, and there was light. ‘We declare super light over our nation, Nigeria. We call for exemplary leadership that will beget this light. We celebrate today the impact of the Meet the Church Summit that is initiating the contribution of the Church leadership towards the process of a peaceful election that will birth the beginning of excellent leadership in our country.
He expressed his gratitude to the convener of the summit, Apostle Titi Oluwadare, whom he described as the Esther of our time, adding that the Lord is using her to actualise this vision.
