In today’s complex world, there is the need to have well-trained, groomed and seasoned leaders to lead the church.
Too many church leaders of today are inadequately trained to handle the complexities and dynamics of the 21st Century ministry. ICCR provides quality training to such leaders. You may grow your church without Church Growth training, but your church cannot be truly healthy without sound training.
ICCR’S MANDATE
ICCR is non-denominational. It is not a Bible School but a full-fledged Church Growth and Leadership Institute that provides resources, training and equipping to all categories of Church Leaders of every church affiliation.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTE
International Centre for Church Renewal is the training arm of International Church Growth Ministries.
Church Growth is a ministry that cares and empowers leaders to grow healthier churches and ministries locally, naturally and globally. International Centre for Church Renewal began to train Pastors and Church Leaders in 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria with the name African Institute of Church Growth, AICG. This name was later changed to International Institute of Church Growth, IICG, but was officially registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria as International Centre for Church Renewal.
International Centre for Church Renewal is now headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria with her own ‘Growth Centre’ – a multi-million naira facility to train, equip and empower pastors and leaders. The facility contains classes, halls and offices for the sole purpose of teaching and training leaders for healthy churches and ministries. International Centre for Church Renewal is internationally affiliated to Zoe Pentecostal Theological Seminary, Pama, Italy.
International Centre for Church Renewal now has branches in Nigeria, Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Okitipupa. More than 8,000 Pastors have been trained in Lagos alone. And internationally, ICCR presently has branches in the Republic of South Africa and Swaziland. More than ten thousand Pastors and Church leaders have been trained globally.
OUR MODEL AND VALUES
At ICCR, we believe that Jesus is the Lord of the church and we must model the way He builds His church. His church in the Scriptures must be our model. We want His model to prevail over every other human model.

Each of these courses comes with lots of course materials and books to read and assignments to undertake.
DISTANT LEARNING COURSE
Distant Learning is learning beyond the four walls of a classroom. It consists of lecture notes, books, materials, tapes and e-learning methods at the convenience of the students. Practical, ministry, church and theological education should no longer be confined inside the classroom and seminary campus only.
Recently we have had some distant learning students from Zimbabwe and currently, we have about 40 students undergoing a distant learning programme from South Africa and Swaziland.
If you are too busy to attend our regular class of study, then this distance learning opportunity is for you. You can study at your own convenience, leading to the award of Advanced Diploma in Church Growth, Graduate Diploma in Church Leadership, Advanced Diploma in Pastoral and Church Health.
Qualifications
Admission is open to ministers, church leaders, Pastors and Overseers irrespective of your past degrees, who can read and write English very well. Our Distant Learning Course is for serious students who will really study and apply the course contents to their lives and ministries.
