JOSEPH HAYAB ELECTED KADUNA NEW CAN CHAIRMAN
The Christian Association of Nigeria Kaduna State Chapter has elected Reverend Joseph Hayab as the new Chairman. Hayab was elected on January 14, 2019 by 13 out of a 15-man electoral college which comprised of 15 bishops in the state.
Hayab was a former secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State, Public Relation officer Christian Association of Nigeria 19 Northern States and a former Special Adviser Kaduna state Government.
Educated at Baptist Theological Seminary Kaduna and American University Washington DC, he is the Northern Co-coordinator at Global Peace Foundation Nigeria.
Hayab, a Baptist Pastor, development practitioner and a public affairs commentator loves to see people making positive use of religion for the development of mankind and their spiritual growth. Religion most not be seen or use to cause pains or destruction but instead, religion should help us to appreciate and celebrate our common humanity under God.
He promised to promote dialogue between Muslims and Christians in order to achieve religious harmony in the state. He called on politicians to be cautious of their speeches and to avoid statements capable of inciting people against each other.
