ABOUT THE BOOK
Salvation means changing from one’s sinful ways to being Christ-like in preparation for heaven. This preparation, however, involves A change of heart, character and mind.
The salvation of our souls is very important to God and us. No matter how long we live on earth, we shall live forever in eternity with God if we are saved. Why do we need the salvation of our souls? Our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned against God through their disobedience and this brought curse upon all their seeds. God does not want us to be eternally damned; He made way for us. He sent His only begotten son to us that “whosoever believes in him” for the salvation of his soul shall be saved from eternal damnation, and anyone that refuses is damned already. He is the way, the truth, and he is the one that gives his life as a substitute for our own so that we can have everlasting life.
This does not mean we would not receive the rewards of our works, but we are sure of making heaven. Truly “there is non-righteous, no not one” (Romans 3:10), but the words of God commanded us to “…move unto perfection…” (Hebrews 6:1). The way to do that is to surrender to the one whom the Almighty had sent for the redemption of our souls. God did not send his son to condemn us, but that through him, we might be saved. The son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Our souls, after death, live eternally, either in the presence of God where the righteousness dwells or in hellfire where sinners would be gnashing their teeth forever. God’s love towards us is so much that he did everything to prevent this terrible event of a man from going to hell.
We need to know that God made us in his image for us to be like him and for us to dwell in his presence forever, but Satan, the arch-enemy of God, who was sent down to earth, knew he had a short time, before his final punishment, and then resolved to take so many people with him. God will not change his words, nor would he change his deeds. For this reason, every one shall receive the rewards of his works, either evil or good.
When you surrender to his will in your life, and you permit Jesus to come to your life, there will surely be times of test and trial of your faith. It will never be a bird of roses, but if you stand with the Lord your God and continue to walk with him: you will never regret it here on earth and eventually, you will make it to the presence of God. The end of a thing is better than it begins, make sure you end your journey well in Christ. May the peace of God be with you all.
