YOUNG AND STRONG
The book titled, “Young and Strong” affirms that the society is T dynamic and fast-developing being abundantly blessed with youths who are facing a brighter rewarding future.
These youths are great assets and potentials to the church and nation. They are full of talents, gifts and potentials. The book, therefore, emphasises the need to adequately equip young people, guide them and give them the opportunity to deploy their leadership potentials towards productive ventures in order not to lose them.
The church, pastoral leadership and other stakeholders should not hesitate to declare a state of emergency on youth ministry to avoid losing young people to other denominations or indecorous places of worship. Conscious efforts should be made by the church to invest in the upcoming generation and prepare the same for leadership tasks. Functional youth ministry that will make the young people discover, develop and utilise their talents and gifts should be promoted.
The book also admonishes that knowledge about church heritage should be prayerfully passed to young people. Church traditions that are likely to affect young adults adversely should be reviewed or jettisoned as may be dictated by the Holy Spirit.
Young people should also be ready to learn from the elders and aspire to understand essential church doctrines and beliefs. They should take it easy with adults knowing fully that one day; they are going to become adults. No matter what they consider to be superb revelation today, the generation that would emerge later would definitely come up with revelations that would render theirs obsolete.
