INTRODUCTION
Consistent recognition, celebration and commendation of men and women doing great things is a crucial aspect of building a healthy, forward-looking society. Awards ceremony makes people feel that their work is valued. It shows approval and gratitude for each person’s good job, and it makes people aware that good work will be rewarded. It shows others, such as the general public that you’re aware of outstanding accomplishments.
E-life, Africa’s first internet inspirational magazine is organising the 1st edition of ELIBON AWARDS. The Conference and Award will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, in Lagos, Nigeria, and will focus on the theme: WAKING NIGERIA FROM THIS DEADLY SLUMBER.

* To identify and celebrate personalities who are fit to be role models and mentors to the younger generation.

* To demonstrate that good work, and sacrifice will be commended and rewarded.
* To appreciate, recognise and motivate the awardees to increase their performances and productivity in their area of influence.

Nigerian whose voice carries weight and is easily trusted and obeyed - ENTERTAINMENT AWARD
Actors, singers, entertainers of positive character and influence on the society - POSTHUMOUS AWARD
Nigerians who stood for principle and positive opinions and perhaps died in the process. - HUMANITY AWARD
Nigerians who by their acts broke barriers that separated saved lives and make Nigeria better. - NOTABLE MENTOR AWARD

* Elibon Awards is open to all Nigerians with provable stories and records in their chosen fields for recognition.
* Nominee should be easily discoverable in real life, print, electronic and online media.
* 300 letters would be dispatched to Nigerians, fifty in each of the six geo-political zones to nominate three Nigerians fit for each of the categories.
* Each Nigerian written to would be required to give detailed evidence and perhaps citations for their nominees.
* Nominations would be screened by seven-man panel before they are recommended to the five-man panel of judges.
* There are criteria to be met by each nominee to scale from one panel to the other.
* The panel members don’t know one another to establish fairness in choices.

* Deadline for submitting nominations is on July 30, 2022, at 5 pm Nigerian time.
* Finalists for Elibon Awards will be announced to the individuals on November 1, 2022.
* Winners of the various categories will be announced at the ELIBON Awards on December 1, at Radisson Blue Hotel, Ikeja GRA Lagos, Nigeria, where the conference and awards ceremony will be held.
* The Conference will provide opportunities for networking among writers, authors, journalists, speakers, printers, librarians, reporters and editors around Africa.

* Seven-man panel Result: August 1 –November 5, 2022
* Five-man Panel Result: November 20, 2022
