The vision pioneer of the Throneroom Trust Ministry, Apostle Emmanuel Kure has said on Wednesday that when the battle was fierce for him, he wanted to end it all by yielding to the advancement of death.

But Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who ordained him a pastor, refused him from exiting the world.

KURE SPEAKS ON PAINS OF THE EARLY DAYS

‘So many times, Kure said, ‘I would go to him to discuss what is happening to me in the ministry, the pains, challenges and my fears.

I would tell him so many discouraging things bedevilling the ministry, all coming together to tempt me to give up and yield to death.

But Adeboye would call me in, share some thoughts with me which have kept me in the race ever since.”

”Many of you would not know what I went through all because of this gospel.

I have been beaten like a baby by my own people right here in Southern Kaduna.

Can you imagine, a married man, husband and father of children, being beaten?

”I have organised crusades all over Nigeria. From North-East to North West, even to the South-East and South-South areas like Bayelsa, etc.

Never has anyone tried this. It was my own people who did this.

”They called me bloodsuckers because they did not understand the power with which we did all the miracles that happened then.

A member of this Church for reasons best known to her went about to say we were demons using the power of the devil. The persecution was much. I was almost giving up but for Daddy Adeboye.

”Today, those who called us demons and blood-suckers are right now in Jesus, doing more than we did those days. They are chasing more demons out of Southern Kaduna than we did those days.

A grateful Kure prostrated before Adeboye, thanking him for being there for him when the going was tough.

He added that his ministry couldn’t have gotten to the level it is today without the fatherly role of Enoch Adeboye.

Speaking on the massive 16-storey prayer tower the church is building, the first of its kind in Africa, Kure said 120 people are praying there 247.

They are praying for Nigeria, Nigerians and Christian ministries around the world and southern Kaduna in particular.

This is the only power we have in this part of the world. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

He said the Lord told him that the tower be renamed Enoch Adeboye Prayer Tower, to which the worshippers in the 16,000 seater auditorium cheered with a big round of applause.

Present on the Wednesday programme were the former governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Rev. Jonah Jang and the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

Others were the governor of Kaduna state, represented by the deputy governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.

JONAH JANG SPEAKS

In his speech, Rev. Jonah Jang said Kure has been a source of inspiration to him since his days at the Government House in Jos.

‘So many times, he would come to Jos to pray with me, anoint me, wash my hands and feet and has led me in smooth growth in my spiritual life.’

All this led to the conception of the Ten Commandment Church where Pastor Enoch Adeboye visited.

There, he walked through the length and breadth with his bare leg in a spiritual exercise.

The new church which has been renamed Yeshua Kingdom Foundation International Church would be dedicated shortly.

NASIR EL-RUFAI’S MESSAGE

The deputy governor of Kaduna State, representing Governor Nasir El Rufai said she was thrilled by the love Kure has for the less privileged around him.

‘He has built a state of the art hospital in the camp and has encouraged economic empowerment programmes for women.

Kure is also a member of the House of Kaduna Family, a body set up to monitor peace in Kaduna state.

In the body, Kure has been a great force whose suggestions cannot be wished away. For this, the state is grateful to him and God.

ENOCH ADEBOYE MESSAGE

The last to speak was Pastor Enoch Adeboye who arrived with his team in two helicopters.

Adeboye said Kure has chosen a very curious theme for the conference: Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!, adding that it would have been enough to say Jesus just once.

But there is a deeper reason for saying it three times and only a real Christian would be able to comprehend this and know what to say.

Adeboye said the only place where a variant of the name of Jesus was mentioned thrice in the Bible was in John 14: 16 where Jesus said ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Adeboye explicates Jesus as the Way out of all challenges of life, citing the examples of the leper who was abandoned until Jesus appeared in His life as the way out of his challenges.

And as the Truth, Adeboye said when he was a mathematician in the university, knowing the truth was a difficult issue for them until they found out that Jesus is the only truth in the whole university.

On Life, the clergy said Jesus is the One who can resurrect destinies.

Lazarus had his experience with Jesus and so many people in the current world have tasted Christ as the life-giver in the midst of their hopelessness.

DONATION OF N30M

Adeboye who donated N30million naira towards the completion of the prayer Tower expressed his gratitude to a worthy son, Emmanuel Kure.

He described him as a pillar of Christianity in the north.

He prayed for Kure and his family that God will count all their efforts for righteousness in the name of Jesus.

In his characteristic manner, Adeboye would not go without making an altar call.

Making an exhortation to the people in the auditorium, he said the only way to enjoy this life, despite all the challenges associated with it is to embrace Jesus.

More than 50 people responded to his call before he prayed for them and took his leave.
