CHURCH AND THE BLAME GAME
E-life is doing a research on the why Pastors and the Church are being subjected to constant criticisms and blames. Your response to the questions below would be published May 15, 2020 on this page.
*THE QUESTIONS*
1. Why is there so much criticisms of the Church today, most especially, of pastors? If water does not flow in the tap, the pastor is blamed. If the sun does not shine in a day, the blame is put on pastors for collecting tithe. Why this sudden trend? Is this about the end time phenomenon or the Church has its faults also?
2. As an observant Christian, what five errors have you seen in the contemporary Church that you strongly advocate should be corrected and corrected fast?

COMMENTS
With respect to question 1. Yes, it’s an end time phenomenon but pastors (especially those of us in the pentecostal/charismatic circle) have brought the negative criticism upon ourselves by our indiscretions and sometimes lack of integrity. Unfortunately, the percentage of the “black sheep” among us is very small but the media has helped to magnify it.
As for question 2.
a. Materialism (too much emphasis on prosperity)
b. Building our personal empires and not the kingdom of God
c. Lack of true training and discipleship
d. Secularism
e. Hyper grace theology
