In Nigeria and many parts of the world, some people have come to associate pastoring with hustling. Some people think pastors, especially the GOs of the private churches are about glamour financed from tithes.

So many critics of the Church would say the pastors are buying nice clothes, traveling to nice countries, sending their children to schools abroad like the politicians, and parading their beautiful wives in expensive attires, all financed from tithes!

We read all these on social media. But not so, please. There are exceptions, many exceptions. I, Bola Adewara have come to know that many pastors even use their money to finance their Churches and ministries.

WHAT IS PERSONAL MONEY?
I know pastors who talk to their personal friends outside the church, personal destiny helpers, when there is a program and the Church account is not buoyant enough to finance it.

If you don’t know what happens in Churches, keep quiet and stop talking evil of innocent men. People who are called of God and are doing the job to the expectations of God. This report I am giving was told to me by one of his lieutenants and corroborated word for word, at different times, by two of his staff. This is a pastor you all know, but he shall remain nameless because I don’t have his permission to mention his name.

SPENDS N2m ON COUNSELLING DAYS!
The first thing I heard was that anytime the GO has a counseling session, he would have prepared about two million naira to meet the needs of people who might come for financial issues. This he does E-V-E-R-Y W-E-E-K!

Multiply two million by fifty-two weeks in a year and see how much he dispenses just on his counseling days. Yet, the ignorant critics would say Pastors eat tithes! How much is realized in Churches as tithes? How much do you as a person drop in your church as tithe? Tithers don’t complain about the tithe they give. None tithers are the noisemakers! If you are one of the people who say rubbish about men of God, return to God for forgiveness!

HOW DOES THE GO MAKE HIS MONEY?
Let me quote one of his staff: Our GO lives on appreciation, and it is so with so many true men of God. God has promised to take care of them and our God does not lie.

Many GOs have more friends outside their churches than in their churches. Many people do not attend their churches but take them as their fathers in the Lord. They have so many people abroad calling them for prayers. There are a few people in the Churches and the branches who know the virtues of giving to their pastors. Many Church members have never shown appreciation to their pastors. EVER!

‘Many years ago, GO spent days, nights, and months, praying for two men to get oil well from the government. One of them from the north, not even a Christian, but believes in the calling of our GO, got the well in the 1990s. Till now there is a fixed amount of millions that come into the personal account of the GO from the two men and their companies still pay their tithes too.

People, none church members, who place the GO on a fixed amount every month are in hundreds around Nigeria and outside Nigeria. On his tables are papers of open-air tickets sent to him by people. If the GO wants to be traveling every day of the year, there are enough tickets without touching a penny from Church accounts. Now, he dashes out these tickets.

The number of gift suits, shoes, wrist watches, vehicles that land in our offices, every week is too much. He gives these out to pastors, staff, faithful members, or even sells them to support the poor. When people see him using different wristwatches, they will say tithes! What tithe? Nonsense! On counseling days, he would give every gift around him out. Many pastors live on appreciation, that is why it seems they are rich.

PART TWO:
In part two of this story, I shall narrate the story of a man who took (stole) N200 from the tithe bag and the intervention of this GO. Watch out.
